Oscar loves to twirl his toes when he's drinking his bottle...take a gander! I like to think this means he'll be a good dancer.

CHRISTMASSSSssssSSsSSSssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oscar got his first official tast of solids this month. i don't think this kid is going to have any problem adjusting.
before we headed off to las vegas, we opened our presents here:) after that, we got ready to hop on oscar's first airplane ride. we were all a wee bit nervous:)

there were a few hiccups along the way, but overall it went OK. the way back we learned our lessons and it went awesome:)

thanksgiving!!!!

first off, oscar finally got a chance to rock his jordan 1's from tito alex. i can hear it now...his first word is gonna be, "iknowyoudidn'tjuststeponmynewjordans!!!!"

thanksgiving was officially kicked off by grandpa....

i cooked a turkey this year for the first time, i was quite proud of myself.

but it was really marquita and her mom who did a fantastic job cooking everything else.

the guests included from left to right, my old friend neil, grandma, grandpa, mom, our good friend stephanie, and a buddy of mine from work who is here from scotland, andrew

aside from those bits of lemon we've been torturing the boy with, he had his first taste of real solids today, mom's mash pataters. he had no problem putting down a few bites:) probably because there's enough butter and cream in 'em to put down an elephant.

last but not least, the little guy is getting thrown into the wild this week. his first day of daycare. but let's be honest and call it what it is, immune system conditioning. both mom and i were a little bit nervous, but he did awesome.

Mommy's Birthday!

even though oscar had on his lucky hat, the mighty wolverines still couldn't pull it together. did you know of all the college fans in the US, michigan alumni have the least faith in their football team?

sexy...kind of...

i call this look, "you want to take my son to _________?" you can fill in the blank with anything really. mountain biking, off-roading, snowboarding, o'farrell theater... i have a rough road ahead of me as you can see.

for momma's birthday, we went out to R & G lounge for chinese!

marquita's dad came into town to finally rescue mom from oscar:)

it's a little young for him to stop listening to my words of wisdom...but i love him all the same :)

Oscar loves to be naked for some reason, but after a recent bath we felt it was best to make him wear a robe...then we discovered that it's a wee bit short for him.

Check out his new camo PJ's. :-)

He can't read yet, but he LOVES looking at the pictures. He starts kicking his legs and grabbing for the book and makes all these loud grunts. I think in his world, this means something.

halloween!

i'm really starting to like halloween again as an adult. it brought me such joy as a kid to get the candy, now it brings me joy to get into the spirit of it all. needless to say, this year was more for us(me) than it was for oscar, since i really think he could give a hoot.

we carved pumpkins!


our neighbors told us about this place a few blocks away that really gets into halloween. the close off 2 blocks or so and all the houses decorate in a common theme. this year it was harry potter, so each house did their garage or front porch or what have you as someplace you'd see in a harry potter book. over the years, this has created quite a draw for families.
like i said, we got a little more into it than we had to, but it was an excuse to dress oscar up and tag along with our neighbors who have real trick-or-treat participants.
and besides...it gave us an excuse to dress him up as THIS!!! bwahahaha. the first few times we put him in this thing i laughed so hard i was crying. OSCAR MEYER WEENER! bwahaha. comedy gold right there folks. you know this is going in his senior yearbook...it's just too good not to.

Get Ya Paper!

Oscar had his 4 month checkup this past week and he took his vaccinations like the little tough cookie he is...Daddy on the other hand, well you know how he is...Oscar is now a whopping 16 lbs and a little over 26". As the doctor put it, "he's definitely not starving".

We've got roll over people!

At 11:24am PST today, Oscar completed his first roll over!! Sadly both Josh and I missed it but my mom was there to bear witness. We'll try and get him to do his new trick on video tonight and post it for your viewing pleasure. Yay!

Tastes Like Robot

Oscar enjoys mauling things lately. Poor Optimus Prime didn't stand a chance to the slobber hole. He sure punished that thing.
Oscar gave Mom and Dad a 4 hour leave with the promise that we would return. Mom returned, Dad fell down a well of gin and tonics and came back the next day...sort of.
It may be difficult to see, but this is Oscar practicing his ninja technique. He's very good, I know.

Oscar got his wig tuned by his personal stylist flown all the way in from Ohio. Look at that ice-grill! Don't-cho-mess-with-me-while-I-get-my-hair-did!

Mom approved of the results...

But more importantly, so did Grandma :)
