how much changes in a year...

Stop growing, little boy! If I could capture these times in a bottle and save them for when I'm as old as old can get, I could live through anything knowing I had that bottle waiting for me.

ps from marquita...i guess oscar's going to get what he wants this year...he amazed us all by sitting on santa's lap without a moment's hesitation. he must really think the big guy brings him gifts.

Halloween!

Probably my favorite holiday of the year (is it a true holiday?). I was totally bummed to find out that we don't get a lot of trick or treaters in our new neighborhood due to location, so all of my decorations stayed in the garage, but we still managed to crank out some fun jack-o's :) I thought dinosaurs were extinct! We were suprised to spot one in our own driveway! This one was pretty fast, but luckily I managed to catch him on film.
Here he is a much more natural habitat. I looked it up on the web, I think we had an VelOscarRaptor on our hands. The web never lies.

After Oscar broke in his fancy costume (thanks Grandma Laura!) we joined up with the Wysers to head to a kid's Halloween party at a friends house. From there, there was a short run of Trick or Treating that lasted all of 10 minutes. Here you can see Brian coaching Nolan on proper Tricking techniques when the trickee doesn't provide the Treats!

We took oscar to his first pumpkin patch over the weekend and he loved it so much he cried when we left. Despite the tears, we left with 4 pumpkins to carve and 1 very tired, dusty little boy.

Despite our haircut poll outcome, we decided to get Oscar's hair cut. Sorry folks! We really did take your votes into consideration. Here's a short video of oscar eating dinner tonight WITH A FORK! He only uses it every now and then, but check out how proud of himself he is...

To celebrate the 40th (!) anniversary of Marquita's parents, they took us to Cabo San Lucas for a week to school us young'ins on how to keep it together for so long :) Needless to say, it was awesome, and Oscar had a blast.

Sandbox Fun

I brought Oscar to the park and he loves the big sandbox with a water faucet. Here he is splashing around in the puddled water having a great ole time! Don't worry folks, I came prepared with a towel and change of clothes. He got me last time, but I learned my lesson.
