the face that makes it all worthwhile...now if he only made these faces more often! I keep hearing that the smiles and laughs will be coming any day now on a more consistent basis - I can't wait!

Mommy, Daddy and Oscar

Today Oscar attended his first birthday party! He slept the entire time, but he was the life of the party I must say. Everyone noted his snazzy track suit. After the party he was so pooped that he slept some more on daddy while daddy played xbox. It was a good day.

On a side note, he had his 1 month checkup yesterday and he is now a pleasantly plump 10.5 lbs! The dr. gave him a clean bill of health so we couldn't be happier.

More photos for your viewing pleasure! He is now one month old! Grandpa and Grandma Druker and Aunt Emily are here for a visit and Oscar is in cuddling heaven. PLUS I think we had our first smile today AND our first real coo! I'll let you know if it happens again to make sure it wasn't just gas or something. Mark it on your calendar folks!

today, oscar's FBFF (future best friend forever), nolan, came to visit! after that, dad got a little bit of "cake and eat it too action"...

Drukers of the West Unite!

Oscar got to meet his first set of cousins this past week - Zeke and Eli, plus his Uncle Sam and Aunt Katrina. He wasn't awake for much of it, but I know he enjoyed it.

Tomorrow is another checkup and with the way he's been eating I'm sure he's close to 9 lbs. by now. I'll keep you posted!

Well, he had his first water bath today and Daddy decided to style his hair afterwards. Here are the results...

oscar is such a wildman, dad had to restrain him.

i'm convinced there is nothing more pure than baby yawn breath, which is funny since it occurs in the same vicinity of its polar opposite, milk-cheese neck.

Grandparents are the best!

Well the time has finally come for my parents to go back to their lives in LV. :-( Oscar is going to miss them almost as much as I will! He got spoiled by all the attention, but Grandma will be back in a month to spoil, I mean love him some more.

Sleepytime

He seems to love sleeping with his arms or hands near his face. He's able to break free of Mommy's swaddles to do this, but Daddy's are a LOT tighter. Went to the dr. today for a checkup and he gained a whole pound in one week! He patiently answered all of my many questions and i feel better about a lot of stuff that i've been worrying about this past week. We have another appt. next week and I'm sure I'll be armed with more questions! A first-time mommy's worries are never gone. :-)
