halloween!

i'm really starting to like halloween again as an adult. it brought me such joy as a kid to get the candy, now it brings me joy to get into the spirit of it all. needless to say, this year was more for us(me) than it was for oscar, since i really think he could give a hoot.

we carved pumpkins!


our neighbors told us about this place a few blocks away that really gets into halloween. the close off 2 blocks or so and all the houses decorate in a common theme. this year it was harry potter, so each house did their garage or front porch or what have you as someplace you'd see in a harry potter book. over the years, this has created quite a draw for families.
like i said, we got a little more into it than we had to, but it was an excuse to dress oscar up and tag along with our neighbors who have real trick-or-treat participants.
and besides...it gave us an excuse to dress him up as THIS!!! bwahahaha. the first few times we put him in this thing i laughed so hard i was crying. OSCAR MEYER WEENER! bwahaha. comedy gold right there folks. you know this is going in his senior yearbook...it's just too good not to.

Get Ya Paper!

Oscar had his 4 month checkup this past week and he took his vaccinations like the little tough cookie he is...Daddy on the other hand, well you know how he is...Oscar is now a whopping 16 lbs and a little over 26". As the doctor put it, "he's definitely not starving".

We've got roll over people!

At 11:24am PST today, Oscar completed his first roll over!! Sadly both Josh and I missed it but my mom was there to bear witness. We'll try and get him to do his new trick on video tonight and post it for your viewing pleasure. Yay!

Tastes Like Robot

Oscar enjoys mauling things lately. Poor Optimus Prime didn't stand a chance to the slobber hole. He sure punished that thing.
Oscar gave Mom and Dad a 4 hour leave with the promise that we would return. Mom returned, Dad fell down a well of gin and tonics and came back the next day...sort of.
It may be difficult to see, but this is Oscar practicing his ninja technique. He's very good, I know.

Oscar got his wig tuned by his personal stylist flown all the way in from Ohio. Look at that ice-grill! Don't-cho-mess-with-me-while-I-get-my-hair-did!

Mom approved of the results...

But more importantly, so did Grandma :)

It's been a bit longer than usual since an update, things have been busy here, but that doesn't mean we've stopped photographing prince Oscar.

I decided today that Oscar was not going to be told how to live his life by "the man". If a boy wants to roll around naked on a checkboarded rug while staring at little stuffed animals, who was I to stop him? I know a free spirit when I see one. Besides, it makes great extortion material for when he's older.

We started to get nervous that Oscar had contracted Fist-in-Mouth disease.

Then we realized he was just searching for his tongue...which he found...and decided to share with you.

Oscar is doing an awesome job learning to sit up on his own!

So daddy decided to annoy him with hugs.
